Pro Life on Campus at Michigan State University

A good location affords many opportunities to expose abortion and answer questions

Michigan State University (MSU) was next up for CBR’s Genocide Awareness Project (GAP).

We were hosted at MSU by the Students for Life and their president, Lisa Jankowski.  What a blessing to help students like Lisa stand up for truth and justice in a hostile world!  You share in that blessing when you support CBR (click here).

CBR’s Pro-Life Training Academy prepared students to articulate and defend the pro-life position.

Pro-life blog buzz 5-2-14 - Jill Stanek says:

[…] Fletcher Armstrong doesn’t mind controversy when it makes people think, and the college campus-targeted Genocide Awareness Project serves that purpose. The GAP recently visited Michigan State University where they received various responses to their visit. One counter-protest group had some responses strange reasoning, like, “Everyone is entitled to their point of view, but it’s about respecting the student body, those who may or may not have mental illnesses…. The visitors that we have may be looking at the school for prospective college.” But then another anonymous comment made it all worthwhile (pictured left). […]

Why wasn’t there more coverage on the anti protest or talk about discussion here? I feel like there is no real material and you don’t begin to skim about arguments or counter arguments with logic or facts rather than opinion…

    Fletcher says:

Ms. Winters, thanks for your comment/question. Several points in response.

    1. This is only the first item reporting on GAP at MSU. Wwe will go through the reports, stories, etc. and add additional posts if we find news-worthy items to report.

    2. In the list of media links, I did link to the story about protesters at MSU, plus two opinion items taking the pro-abortion side. If there are any items we missed, please let me know and I’ll add those links to this post.

    3. When I’m talking about what happened at MSU, I’ll generally report on items specific to your campus. Facts and opinions related to abortion generally would not usually be presented in a story about MSU, but rather would be stand-along postings.

    4. If there is some specific item you want to see addressed, please let me know and I’ll try to work it in.

    5. We hope that our opinions are based on facts and logic.

    6. I perceive that you wish to see pro-abortion arguments repeated here. We are always interested to hear the best arguments for why it is OK to decapitate and dismember little human beings. If you’d like to advance any such arguments, I’d be glad to post them on this blog, along with my responses. [I hope you will understand that my use of the terms “decapitate and dismember” are not intended to be inflammatory, but simply an accurate description of what abortion does to its victims.]

    7. If your arguments for decapitating and dismembering little human beings are decisive, we would close down our project and find more productive ways to spend our time. [I hope you will understand that I am very sincere in the desire to be right on this very critical topic. I am much more pro-choice than anybody on the political left. For example, I believe you should be able to choose what kind of health insurance you buy or sell. You should be able to choose whether or not to purchase abortions for the couple down the street. I’m just not pro-choice when it comes to killing people. But it’s possible that I’m wrong; if so, I want to know, so that I can spend the rest of my life doing something more productive. I came to your campus because I don’t see a logical reason why we may kill some human beings because they are unwanted and yet must protect others because they are human.]
